Croydon Championship Day 2007

Centre Championships was held on Saturday 24th March in conditions which better suited the polar bears. The Weather threw everything at us but with our shiny new RED track we were all smiling. 363 athletes competed on the day with many PB's achieved and a few more Centre records broken.
We had the Honorable James Merlino (Minister for Sport and Recreation) and the Mayor for Maroondah along with other Dignitaries down at the track for the Official opening ceremony.

We also had for the first time the Carolyn Scott Participation award given to the athlete (boy and Girl) in each age group who erned the most points for the year. Points are earned for each event competed in and a bonus point for a PB.
